On Thursday, March 14, 2024 I'll be at the Society for Cinema & Media Studies Annual Conference to present as part of a pre-constituted panel titled “Geopolitics of Care and Networks of Solidarity.” This panel will highlight the distinctive traits of women’s film festivals and feminist collectives through a geo-culturally diversified corpus and theoretical framework drawing on transnational and intersectional approaches to feminism, festival studies, and archival research. Through our presentations, we will argue that women’s film festivals represent living networks of care, circulating and recovering feminist epistemologies and histories.
